What is PTC&B about?

This study developed a protocol for the clonal propagation of turmeric (Curcuma longa) using various explants and confirmed the genetic fidelity of micropropagated shoots through RAPD markers. The highest shoot regeneration was achieved from shoot buds, with significant effects of growth regulator combinations on regeneration rates. The results indicate that in vitro raised plantlets maintain genetic integrity and can be effectively used for rapid multiplication of turmeric plants.
