Bleach washing and softening treatments were performed on 100% cotton denim fabric to analyze the impact on physical, mechanical, and color properties. Bleach washing with 10g/L bleach for 30 minutes at 50°C resulted in fading of the indigo dye color. Softening after bleaching further improved the hand feel. Testing found that bleaching and softening reduced tensile strength and seam strength but increased fabric weight loss and shrinkage compared to the untreated fabric.
