It provides two examples: 1) A double riveted lap joint with 6mm plates is designed with a rivet diameter of 13mm, pitch of 50mm, and efficiency of 69.33%. 2) A single riveted lap joint with 10mm plates is designed with a rivet diameter of 19mm, pitch of 42mm, and efficiency of 54%. The joint is also designed to have equal shear and tearing strengths.
