This document describes the development of an ultra-sensitive biosensor for detecting the organophosphorus pesticide phosmet in olive oil. The biosensor uses a genetically engineered acetylcholinesterase enzyme immobilized in a poly(vinyl alcohol)/Fe-Ni alloy nanocomposite on a screen-printed electrode.
