What is Embracing Black Identity in Dark Times about?

1) The author recalls being raised in black culture but having a childhood vision of God as a white man, teaching them that being black was not divine. 2) The author asserts that they are black like the storms, sands, jungles, and crowns of their ancestors, with skin scorched and kissed by the gods. 3) The author hears the cries of their ancestors from kings and queens to those taken from their families, and calls on the reader to dig deep into their roots as the source and passion of the world.
