About this document

Ventricular System of CNS by physio.aryakeshav is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The ventricular system of the brain consists of interconnected cavities that develop from the neural tube and are lined by ependyma, containing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). It includes two lateral ventricles, the third ventricle, the cerebral aqueduct, and the fourth ventricle, with CSF circulating throughout these spaces and into the subarachnoid space. The choroid plexus within these ventricles is responsible for producing the majority of CSF, which provides mechanical support and protection to the brain.
