Can I read Synthesis, characterization and structural studies of mono- and polynuclear complexes of zinc(II) with 1,10-phenanthroline, 2,2′-bipyridine and 4,4′-bipyridine on EtoBox?

Synthesis, characterization and structural studies of mono- and polynuclear complexes of zinc(II) with 1,10-phenanthroline, 2,2′-bipyridine and 4,4′-bipyridine by Sutapa Sen; Samiran Mitra; Parimal Kundu; Manas Kumar Saha; C. Krüger; J. Bruckmann is a Chemistry article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Synthesis, characterization and structural studies of mono- and polynuclear complexes of zinc(II) with 1,10-phenanthroline, 2,2′-bipyridine and 4,4′-bipyridine about?

Three complexes of the formula [Zn(2,2'-bipy)(CCl3CO2)2(H20)] (1). [Zn (1,10-phen) (CC13CO2)2(H20)] (la) and [Zn(/z-4,4'-bipy)(4,4'-bipy)2(CC13CO2)2(H20)4], (2) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, thermal analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction for I and 2 and X-ray powder pattern for la. The metal coordination in complex 1 is distorted trigonal bipyramidal with N(1), 0(2) and 0(5) defining the basal plane, 0(3) and N(2) being in apical positions. The X-ray crystal structure of 2 reveals that the local coordination round the Zn H ion is a distorted octahedron, in which Zn(H20)4 coordination planes are bridged by 4,4'-bipyridine to form an infinite chain structure. Two 4,4'bipyridine molecules and two trichloroacetate anions exist in the lattice linked by intermolecular hydrogen bonds to coordinated water molecule. Complexes 1 and la have a similar pattern of bonding and showed identical TGA curve and almost similar X-ray powder diffractograms.

Who reads Synthesis, characterization and structural studies of mono- and polynuclear complexes of zinc(II) with 1,10-phenanthroline, 2,2′-bipyridine and 4,4′-bipyridine?

It is typically read by researchers, students, and practitioners in Chemistry.
