The Forest Owners Association of Lithuania (FOAL) was founded in 1993 to represent the interests of forest owners and develop institutional support for family forestry in Lithuania. FOAL is now the national organization for forest owners in Lithuania, with over 3,000 members organized in 38 local branches and 25 private forest owner cooperatives across the country. FOAL provides education and extension services to forest owners, and supports the development of forest owner cooperatives that provide forestry
