This study found that serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25OHD) levels are significantly lower in Taiwanese patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis (CRSwNP) compared to those without nasal polyposis (CRSsNP). A negative correlation was observed between serum 25OHD levels and polyp grade, indicating that lower vitamin D levels are associated with more severe disease. These findings suggest that vitamin D status could be an important factor in assessing the severity of CRSwNP.
