This study investigated the efficacy of chiropractic spinal manipulative therapy (CSMT) versus placebo and control treatment for cervicogenic headache. Nineteen participants were randomized into three groups. Headache frequency and index improved in the CSMT and placebo groups but not the control group. Adverse events were mild and transient. The results suggest CSMT may be a safe treatment option for cervicogenic headache, but more research is needed.
