What is Development of 28Ghz Band Massive Mimo Antenna RF Frontend Module For 5G about?

1) Mitsubishi Electric is developing a 28GHz band massive MIMO antenna RF frontend module for 5G networks to provide large system capacity, low latency, and massive connection. 2) The module uses hybrid beamforming combining analog beamforming from a 256-element active phased array antenna and digital MIMO signal processing. 3) Test results showed the antenna achieved over 28.8dBi gain across the 800MHz bandwidth and the beamforming system demonstrated precise beam scanning with a 0.16 degree pointing err
