About this document

2018 Changes in OCT Measurements After Orbital Wall Decompression in DON by lethe2222 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study assessed changes in peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness after orbital wall decompression in patients with dysthyroid optic neuropathy (DON). Significant decreases in RNFL thickness were observed one and six months post-surgery, and greater preoperative inferior RNFL thickness was associated with better visual outcomes. The findings suggest that RNFL thickness may serve as a prognostic factor for visual acuity in DON patients undergoing decompression surgery.
