What is Myrinet Express (MX) : A High Performance, Low Level, Message Passing Interface For Myrinet Version 1.1 January 01, 2006 about?

This document describes Myrinet Express (MX), a high-performance, low-level message passing interface for Myrinet networks. MX provides protected access to network interfaces at the process level, transparent memory registration, very low latency for small messages, and asynchronous communication primitives. It aims to optimize performance for middleware like MPI while also enabling simple third-party software development.
