What is Zinc about?

Zinc supplementation significantly increased anti-HBs titers in infants receiving the hepatitis B vaccine compared to a placebo. A double-blind randomized controlled trial of 66 healthy infants in Bali, Indonesia was conducted. Infants received either zinc supplements or a placebo along with the standard hepatitis B vaccination schedule from birth to 3 months. Regardless of baseline serum zinc levels, infants receiving zinc had significantly higher anti-HBs titers compared to infants receiving the placebo.
