1) The study examines the formation and stability of C-S-H(I) in Ca(OH)2/CaO-thermal silica densified-H2O systems under hydrothermal conditions. 2) It was found that thermal silica densified has a negative influence on the formation of calcium silicate hydrates compared to amorphous silica. 3) In mixtures with Ca(OH)2, the main intermediate and final product formed is C-S-H(I) of varying crystallinity. In mixtures with CaO, the main intermediate is C-S-H(I) but the final product is xonotlite.
