This study investigates the use of biochar derived from Murraya koenigii stem to remove crystal violet dye from textile effluents. The optimal conditions for dye removal were determined to be an adsorbent dosage of 100 mg L–1, contact time of 60 minutes, temperature of 35°C, and dye concentration of 50 mg L–1, achieving a removal efficiency of approximately 70%. The results indicate that biochar is a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative for treating dye-laden wastewater.
