What is SWLS Psychometric Properties in Indian Adolescents about?

This study investigates the psychometric properties of the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) among middle adolescents in a collectivist cultural setting in India. The findings indicate that the SWLS demonstrates strong reliability, validity, and temporal stability, making it a suitable measure for assessing subjective well-being in this demographic. Additionally, the study provides evidence for gender invariance and predictive validity of SWLS scores in relation to academic engagement and performance.
