This document describes the RWO WWT BIOPUR biological sewage treatment plant. The system uses an aerobic biological process in an aeration tank with fixed biofilm growth surfaces to break down organic matter in wastewater. Treated effluent of less than 3 mg/L BOD5 is achieved.
