What is Maize Resistance to TLB and MSV Study about?

The study evaluated 52 maize crosses and 108 triple crosses for resistance to Turcicum leaf blight and maize streak virus across multiple locations in Uganda. Significant general combining ability and specific combining ability effects were found among parents and crosses for resistance to the diseases. Interactions between environment and general/specific combining abilities significantly affected disease resistance and plant traits like height and yield.
