This study investigated whether a three-profile model of perfectionism (adaptive perfectionists, maladaptive perfectionists, and nonperfectionists) could be generalized across Canadian and Chinese university students. Using latent profile analysis with indicators of perfectionistic strivings, concerns, and neuroticism, the authors identified a three-profile solution in both groups.
