This prospective cohort study investigates the predictors of cranial ultrasound abnormalities (CUAs) in intrauterine growth-restricted (IUGR) fetuses born between 28 and 34 weeks of gestation. The study found that the incidence of CUAs was significantly higher in IUGR fetuses compared to controls, with absent or reversed end-diastolic velocity in the umbilical artery and ductus venosus being reliable predictors of CUAs.
