This study examined the sorption of uranium (U(VI)) onto MX-80 bentonite as a function of contact time, pH, ionic strength, humic acid, fulvic acid, and temperature. The results showed that U(VI) sorption onto MX-80 bentonite was strongly dependent on pH and ionic strength. Sorption reached equilibrium within 1 hour and followed pseudo-second order kinetics.
