This study evaluates the performance of large language models (LLMs) GPT-4 o and Gemini 1.5 Pro in detecting colorectal polyps during colonoscopy, comparing them with a commercial computer-aided detection (CADe) system, ENDO-A ID. Results indicate that while GPT-4 o demonstrated comparable sensitivity and specificity to CADe for larger polyps, both LLMs struggled with smaller lesions.
