1) An outbreak of Bovine Ephemeral Fever (BEF) occurred in August 2018 on an organized dairy farm in Punjab, India, affecting 10 of 110 adult cows. 2) Clinical signs included high fever, lameness, decreased appetite and milk production. Laboratory findings showed neutrophilia and decreased calcium levels. 3) The cows were treated with antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, calcium supplementation and supportive care. Most cows recovered within 4 days of treatment.
