What is Salinta Monon: Last Bagobo Weaver about?

Salinta Monon was a Bagobo weaver from Davao del Sur, Philippines who was awarded the Gawad sa Manlilikha ng Bayan for demonstrating the creative aspects of Bagobo abaca weaving. She learned weaving from her mother at age 12 and was one of the last remaining Bagobo weavers. Her intricate weavings such as the binuwaya design took months to complete. She hoped to pass on the tradition of weaving to younger generations and said she was willing to teach anyone interested in learning.
