This study evaluated the levels of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) and saliva of patients with chronic periodontitis compared to healthy individuals. Results showed that ALP levels were significantly higher in both GCF and saliva of periodontitis patients, indicating its potential as a useful biomarker for diagnosing periodontal disease. The findings suggest that ALP could serve as a valuable biochemical parameter in the assessment of periodontal conditions.
