About this document

PI3KCA Mutations in Indian Breast Cancer by yusfitaria.alvina is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study analyzed mutations and gene expression profiles of the PI3KCA gene in 38 Indian breast cancer patients. The results indicated that 34% of the patients had somatic mutations, predominantly in exons 9 and 20, and there was significantly higher expression of the PI3KCA gene in tumor tissues compared to normal tissues. These findings suggest that PI3KCA mutations could serve as important tumor markers for diagnosis and treatment decisions in breast cancer.
