What is Business Tax Impact on SMEs Profitability about?

This study aimed to assess the impact of business tax on the profitability of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Mabini, Batangas, Philippines. The researchers determined the profile of SMEs and the effect of business tax on various profitability metrics. A survey was conducted with 42 SME managers/owners. The results showed that business tax had a moderate impact on gross profit margin, operating profit margin, net profit margin, return on assets, and return on equity for SMEs when grouped by business
