One factor that contributes to the dying ocean is the oceans increasing in temperature due to fossil fuels being burned, causing marine animals to move to find cooler waters to live in but some die in these new places. This also causes corals to die and decreases the number of growing corals and shells. It causes fishes to have reproductive problems and increases mercury levels in marine life, possibly making all fishes inevitably poisonous.
