On July 22nd the FTC took action against Start Connecting, LLC for facilitating a fraudulent student debt relief scheme known as USA Debt Relief. According to the complaint, the defendants claimed that they were with the Department Of Education and were offering a variety of loan forgiveness services. The complaint also states that the defendants would violate the Do Not Call Registry and post fake reviews to their website and social media profiles in order to deceive consumers.
