About this document
Symbols of Confirmation Explained by Leon Guinto is a document available to read on EtoBox.
The Sacrament of Confirmation in England and Wales usually takes place when people are old enough to speak for themselves, having already been baptized. The symbols of Confirmation are the renewal of baptismal promises by rejecting Satan and his works, the laying on of hands by the priest to show the power and strength of the Holy Spirit, and the anointing with chrism oil on the forehead in the sign of the cross to signify being chosen by God.
