Rio Grande Community Farm and the American Friends Service Committee are holding a Cesar Chavez Community Project Day on March 31, 2011 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the City of Albuquerque Los Poblanos fields barn. Participants will divide into age-related work groups to complete farm projects, then watch a video about the life of Cesar Chavez and discuss it. Attendees should bring a sack lunch, water, good shoes, hat, and sunscreen. The event is an AmeriCorps community service project.
