What is Transpiration and Growth of Young African Mahogany Plants Subject To Different Water Regimes about?

The study evaluated the influence of irrigation on the transpiration and growth of African mahogany trees over two years. Irrigated trees had higher leaf area, diameter, and leaf dry matter compared to non-irrigated trees after two years of irrigation. However, tree height and trunk volume increased similarly between treatments. Average annual transpiration was similar between treatments at around 15 L/m^2 per month.
