It uses financial statements from six selected pension funds to calculate various risk and performance ratios. The results show that on average, the funds had moderate levels of investment, credit, liquidity and other risks. However, for the pension funds to more effectively contribute to economic development, the regulator needs to provide more training to the funds on risk portfolio management.
