This study investigates the correlation between otitis media with effusion (OME) and serum vitamin D levels in 100 Egyptian children, divided into two groups: 50 with OME and adenotonsillar hypertrophy and 50 controls. The results showed low mean vitamin D levels in both groups, but no statistically significant difference between them (P = 0.770). The authors conclude that further research with a larger sample size is needed to explore this relationship more thoroughly.
