This document summarizes a study that used rapid molecular testing (RMT) to diagnose COVID-19 in probable COVID-19 victims after death. The study analyzed nasopharyngeal swabs from 33 corpses between 1-12 hours after death using a GeneXpert machine. Thirteen samples (39.4%) tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.
