This study examined 210 food handlers in Western Iran for intestinal parasites. Stool samples were collected and tested from all food handlers using several parasitological techniques. The results showed that 19 samples (9%) were positive for intestinal parasites, including Giardia lamblia in 2.9% of samples, Entamoeba coli in 4.3%, Blastocystis sp. in 1.4%, and Hymenolepis nana in 0.5%.
