This clinical study evaluated the success of curettage in reducing loss of attachment (LOA) in 30 teeth from 15 periodontitis patients. The LOA was measured before curettage, and at 2 and 3 weeks after. The results showed a reduction in LOA at both timepoints after curettage, with more reduction seen at 3 weeks compared to 2 weeks. This indicates that curettage helped reduce LOA and promote new connective tissue attachment in periodontitis patients.
