This document describes the transmission of downlink reference signals in 3GPP systems. Reference signals are transmitted on 2 OFDM symbols every slot, with a subcarrier spacing of 6, to help with channel estimation and measurements. They are transmitted for both normal and extended cyclic prefix configurations in each subframe on specific resource elements indicated by R0.
