What is Nrisimhadeva about?
The document describes the manifestation of Lord Nrisimhadeva in ISKCON Mayapur. Due to attacks by thieves, the temple authorities decided to install a deity of Lord Nrisimhadeva for protection. An artist was commissioned to carve the deity but he initially refused due to the fierce form of Nrisimhadeva. After discussions with his guru, he agreed to carve the deity called "Sthanu Nrisimha" from a special living stone that meets strict criteria, as prescribed in scriptures.
