The accuracy of the historical and serological facts as presented cannot be questioned, but many workers will find some of the authors' interpretations difficult to accept. Their theories of the nature of the agglutinogens and their genetic interpretations of the phenotypes are often ingenious and original, and should at least be considered by all workers. Unfortunately the authors sometimes tend to confuse fact with theory, and as a result many of their claims of proof are unconvincing. The views of the British workers have not been presented with complete impartiality, and many will regret that the controversy over Rh nomenclature is continued with unabated ferocity.
