About this document

Paromomycin-Induced RNA Conformational Change by Razaz Faroug is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This document describes a study that determined the structure of an A-site ribosomal RNA molecule without antibiotics using NMR, and compared it to the known structure when bound to the antibiotic paromomycin. Key findings were that binding of paromomycin induces a conformational change, displacing two universally conserved adenines (A1492 and A1493) toward the minor groove.
