The structure of trans-l,2-diaminocyclohexane-N,N '-tetraacetatoferrate(Ill) was investigated in the solid state and in aqueous solution. The pK~ values for the title complex were determined with the aid of spectrophotometric titration to be pK~,~ = I. I0 :t: 0.03 and pg~,: = 6.9 + 0.2. Electrochemical data were obtained as a function of pH and a new redox wave belonging to a dimeric species was observed. The structure of Nal Fe(cdta) (H,,O) !" 5H,O was determined by single crystal X-ray analysis.
