What is Standardization of Yashada Bhasma about?

This document presents a study comparing two methods of preparing Yashada bhasma, an Ayurvedic preparation used to treat various conditions. Zinc was purified and then processed into bhasma using either a mercury-based method (PMY) or a herb-based method (JMY). The pharmaceutical profiles of the resulting bhasmas were analyzed and compared. The mercury-based method (PMY) required 7 heating cycles to produce bhasma meeting classical standards, while the herb-based method (JMY) required only 5 heating cycles.
