This study aims to identify the potential economic sectors in each regency/city in Riau Province in order to inform development policies. The analysis uses data on GDP from 2006-2010 and tools including location quotients, shift share analysis, Klassen typology, and gravity index. The results show that each regency/city has different dominant sectors driven by local resources and infrastructure.
