Students are asked to: 1) Calculate wind pressures on a structure and comment on how internal pressures affect wind forces. 2) Calculate live and wind load magnitudes and distributions on an east-west frame: (a) live loads are 50 psf, and (b) wind loads with east-west wind direction. Students are hinted to check their work for live loads.
