This research article analyzed the efficiency of constructed wetlands (CWs) in removing nitrogen and phosphorus from municipal wastewater. It reviewed previous studies on five different media used in CWs: peat-cattails, cattails, peat, Viteveria zizanioides, and Phragmite karka.
