The pin type differential lock uses a lock pin to synchronize the speeds of the left and right driving shafts. It consists of a differential lock, axle shaft gears, and a shifting fork and block to control transverse movement of the lock pin. When engaged, the lock pin inserts into the left axle shaft gear, locking it to the differential mechanism shell and preventing the differential from allowing different speeds on each side.
