What is A Snowdonia childhood : a London boy growing up in Beddgelert 1957-1963 about?

At the end of the Second World War, Richard Bernard's father, a British soldier was demobbed. Bomadier Bernard was home at last. In 1946, unsurprisingly, the author was born. One of the infamous baby boomers. During his early life, the author's father jumped jobs many times until in 1957 they arrived in Snowdonia. The Welsh people of Beddgelert adopted him and became his extended family. Richard Bernard learned the country ways of the local boys, taking up rock climbing, mountain trekking, fishing, shooting and sailing, and he also fell in love. This book is his love letter to them
