R.B.Y. Scott responds to a critique of his calculations regarding the capacity of the "sea" described in the Bible. He argues that the apparent discrepancy highlighted by the critique in fact confirms his hypothesis. If the Chronicler used a bath measurement half the size of the pre-Exilic one, as evidence suggests, then there is no inconsistency between the calculations. Scott believes this resolution demonstrates that his initial argument regarding the size of the "sea" was correct.
